It also fits in the class of Tonic Herbs. 

Secondly, this herb possesses powerful enzymes like turmeric root called ciracumin which possesses an vital enzyme called berberine which is powerful in maintaining a balance blood sugar levels.

It has a woodsy bitter taste but the sacrifice of the taste when used internally will present rewarding effects overall.

Making a Goldenseal Wash

Take 12 ounces of distilled water and bring to a hard boil in an enamel pot. add 2 tablespoons of organic or a trusted wild harvested goldenseal root that is clean and dried, bring heat to a low sisimmer for about 20 minutes let cool.

Note: this can be used as an antiseptic wash for wounds by sprinkling a teaspoon of powdered root on the wound after rinsed with this wash. Also filter with a coffee filter and use as an eye wash to clear up pin eye wash eyeball twice daily for 3 days and watch for results.

You will need:
Pure Grapeseed oil
Eucalyptus Oil
Pepermint essential oil
Clove Essential Oil
Oregano Esential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil
Tea Tree essential oil

Recipe:
Pure Grapeseed oil   1/2 ounce
Eucalyptus Oil          15 drops
Pepermint essential oil 10 drops
Clove Essential Oil  25 drops
Oregano Esential Oil 25 drops
Lavender Essential Oil 30 drops
Tea Tree essential oil 30 drops

Directions:
Add all ingredients together in a dark color bottle and percus 35 times to dispense all the oils and begin the propagation . let sit overnight to propagate.

Usage:
Add 4 drops to one quart of distilled water  in a sprayer bottle. Alternatively you can use a standard simple steam vaporizer that hold 1-2 gallons of water and add 6 drops and a pinch of salt to the water in the vaporizer . The salt will increase the steam levels but only add a pinch.

Note: If you are making a few bottles of this spray ahead of time add 1 tablespoon of 80 proof vodka or food grade alcohol to it as a preservative. DO NOT USE THIEVES OIL around small children. if you use the variant with rosemary essential oil ALSO do not use it around people with Epilepsy or those who have a history of seizures.

Mullein  has a towering stalk which bears tiny yellow flowers which have antiseptic properties and when a tea is made then cooled can be used as a mouth rinse.
The leaves have the shape of a tobacco leaf but feal like flannel to touch, tiny like hair follicles should be washed off because they can cause irritation to some individuals. but overall this plant packs a powerhouse of a punch for overall respiratory issues regardless of the severity in both Adults and in Children.
Mullen Leaf is a powerful respiratory herb that is potent and targets the Respiratory system: Its properties consist of anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory. Mullen has other uses but we will focus on the respiratory system in this post.

Also the small yellow flowers that appear at the top of the stalk and because of their antiseptic properties they  make a good healing tea for the lungs.

There are no serious side effect, however excess usage can cause an upset stomach.

Dried Mullein Flowers: 1 to 2 teaspoons in a cup of 8 ounces of boiling water steeped for 30 minutes. once or twice a day. For Children dosages refer to Clarks rule of pediatric dosing on the here


Mullein tea recipe:

You will need:
10 ounces of boiling water
2 teaspoons of dried mullein leaves


Directions: Add dried herb in a tea ball or infuser ,add boiling water and let steep a min of 30 minutes.

Turmeric is a very yellow herb that stains well and almost impossible to remove. It is very tastefulHowever this powerful herb has a wonder of an anti inflammatory properties. It is also said to be used for detoxing the Kidneys, Liver, and gaul bladder. That is why Turmeric is also known as the Livers best friend its ability to heal and rebuild the liver is amazing. This herb also work well with "Ginger", "Cardamon", "Cinnamon" and "Neel". However, unlike aspirin will not cause the increased rick of bleeding and ulcers in the intestinal tract and stomach lining.

Some Uses:

Cancer, Gallbladder problems, hepatitis, indigestion, lack of appetite, Alzheimer’s disease, Arthritis, bursitis, cancer, gallstones, jaundice, irritable bowel syndrome,diabetes, asthma, epilepsy,fever, ringworm, psoriasis,ulcers,lymph gland problems and much more.
Its medicinal properties, the curcuminand curmoids in turmeric are the vital healing and reliving elements. The herb also triggers a better bile flow, which helps digest fats and reduces the risk of gallstones. As I said before Turmeric in the Livers BEST FRIEND and as a result this herb alone will generate the secretion of several enzymes and detoxes the liver Also it will help with the build up of oxidation in the arteries as well as cholesterol.
Dosage:
some people use Turmeric in a paste form to mall a hot milk called “Golden Milk”
This is were a turmeric or turmeric combination paste usually with Ginger, and Cinnamon) are then added to warm milk then heated to a low simmer. and taken in the morning and or at night. another method is to take 1/8 teaspoon of turmeric tincture 3 times a day. using black pepper with turmeric can improve the bodies ability to use turmeric perhaps as much as 20 fold.

Precautions: people with bile duct obstruction should not take turmeric. people with gallstones should take to a herbalist that is a Md. extremely large doses of curcumoids could cause ulcers or cancer and reduce the number of red and white corpuscles in the body.



Golden Milk Base Recipe:

You Will Need:
2 tablespoons of turmeric powder
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of milk or soy milk
1 teaspoon coconut or almond oil
Raw wildflower honey to taste

Directions:
1. Stir together the turmeric and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer and allow to cook, stirring, until a thick paste is formed.







2. Use 1/2 to 1 tsp of this turmeric paste for each cup of Golden Milk. Add turmeric paste, milk, almond oil/coconut oil  to saucepan and reduce heat to low. Bring milk just to a boil then remove from heat. Whisk briskly or blend if you prefer a frothier drink.add raw honey last to taste.



Golden milk for Bruised Ribs Recipe
This recipe adds antiseptic properties adding to the natural anti-inflammatory properties of both Turmeric and ginger and will not only help with the inflamational soreness but also begin to heal the ribs and surrounding area as well.

Follow the above recipe and add the following herbs to step 1, making the paste.
1 tablespoon of Ginger root Powder
1/4 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/4 cup of water
This will create a new version of the above Golden Milk paste

use daily for sore ribs and other sore pains of the muscular skeletal system.

White Willow Bark has been used for over 2,500 years and people back then would chew on the bark for migraine headaches. So next time you go to grab the aspirin grab White willow bark instead.
When it come to Pain management, White Willow bark is a very effective means for pain relief particularly nerve pain. However it is also goo for sore joints and Rheumatoid arthritis because of its natural  aspirin like effects. another benefit is that in some cases aspirin can irritate the stomach lining and cause internal bleeding whereas White willow will not even with its aspirin like effects/properties.

White willow also has blood thinning properties and if you need to go for a blood test it is said to stop using it 3 days before the tests simply because it will cause inaccurate results.


White willow bark can be found along north eastern north america, as fed north from Nova Scotia to Georgia. It is the inner bark that is used simply because of the natural salix properties. The body also transforms the entirely artificial acetylsalicylic acid into aspirin into Salicylic acid. For all practical purposes then, willow and aspirin are the same.

A few uses of White willow bark:

Nerve Pain, Tooth ache, Rheumatoid arthritis, fever gout, diarrhea, headache,heart disease,inflammations, poison ivy, sprains, toothache,warts, corns, sores, cancer, bursitis, earache and more.
Also it is used for life threatening blood clots.


Dosing: 2 teaspoons of bark in boiling water and let steep for 30 minutes then strain.(Tea) up to three times daily. or 1 dropper flu of tincture in 6 ounces of warm water 3 times daily.


Precautions: do not use if breast-feeding  if you have been told not to take aspirin do not take Willow bark. Also huge dosages of Salicylate’s will cause nausea. also children who take aspirin like drugs for colds, chickenpox, and other viral infections run the risk of contracting a liver damaging, brain damaging, potentially fatal condition called Reyes syndrome

How to stop any bleeding naturally.

Wound Management: “Bleeding Management  and Sanitizing”

Bleeding:
There are many synthetics out there to stop bleeding but what if you run out or if it’s not available? No Worries! If you get cut and its bleeding pretty good some freshly picked and torn plantain leaves will begin the clotting process,

Secondly, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a 8 ounce glass of water will stop any form of bleeding both internally or externally.

Sanitizing the wound: because of its powerful infection fighting antibiotic and antiseptic properties. Using a Goldenseal tea will not only sanitize the wound but also stop the bleeding.

Vervain is another powerhouse of a herb to stop bleeding. This is a traditional herb used centuries to stop wounds from bleeding.

A few other herbs used to stop bleeding:
Comfrey, Blackberry, yellow dock, Mullen Leaf


Sanitization:
Echinacea Tea will help fight bacterial infection simply by using the cooled tea and washing he wound then flushing it gently.

Making a Wound Poultice to stop bleeding and keep wound sanitized.

Take tour sanitized tea (cooled) and take a sterile gauze roll an soak it completely in your Cooled Concoction. Secondly,sprinkle some cayenne  powder ,Mullen leaf and Comfey leaf.on the wound and wrap with the soaked gauze roll thus applying slight to medium pressure to the wound but not to much as to cut off circulation.

The cayenne powder will stop the bleeding, the mullein will help stop bleeding as well as having antiviral properties and the Comfrey leaves will begin the overall healing process with minimal scaring.

For potential internal bleeding e.g. gunshot wound use 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne in 8-10 ounces of warm water.




Flushing the wound:

Very gently using distilled water or  flush the wound as clean as possible when possible. Then use the Goldenseal cooled concoction to thoroughly and gently sanitize the wound. Once complete apply poultice and change daily.



Other wounds know as irritants such as bug bite be stings a combination of echinacea and comfrey  can be made into a tea strained and pressed and one cooled can be used as a antibacterial wash and the comfrey will begin the healing process with minimal scaring.

This simple Recipe will knock out bronchitis and aid in the healing of Pneumonia.

You will need:

  • Tea Ball or infuser
  • 12 ounces of Boiling Water
  • 1 teaspoon of dried Horehound Herb
  • 1 teaspoon of dried Mullen flows or leaf
  • 1/2 tablespoon of dried licorice root.


Notes: If you d not have these herbs on hand purchase a high quality tea that is preferable organic. Then Open the teabags to formulate with the proper measure(s) Secondly,  Do not add milk or sweetener to this at all and stay away from all dairy, alcohol and smoking.

Directions:  Place herbs in a tea ball or infuser and pour a hard boiling water over them. Let steep for a min. of 1 hour. and Take Twice daily

This recipe is different from the others because The majority measure of herb(also none as a “NOTE”) nearly overpowers but note completely. The power of licorice is amazing due to its Constitutes: (which are many ) Triterpenes of the oleanane type,mainly glycyrrhizin and its agylconeglycyrrhetinic acid, liquiritic acid, glycyrrhetol,
glabrolide, isoblabrolide, licoric acid, andphytosterols; Flavonoids and isoflavonoids: to list a few. 

Precaution: Do not use licorice root in this herbal combination if you have blood pressure problems. Licorice root can elevate blood pressure in certain individuals.

“ Making Herbal Healing Salves”



Herbal healing salves are great for everyday use and are very powerful in healing Wounds, Cuts, Sores, Bug Bites with little or no scaring They are also used for sore muscles and actually extracting infections and  poisons from a wound. and a good black salve can over time pull a small splinter out of a wound or hard to get area.



What You Will Need:

  • 1 ounce of pure Beeswax
  • 8 ounces of herbal infused oil
  • Lavender essential oil
  • tea tree essential oil
  • vitamin e liquid capsules ( to use as a preserver to get more of a shelf life of the salve)
  • stainless or enamel pot
  • potato ricer or cheese cloth for pressing the oil soaked herb(s)
  • Glass jar for storage ( Small baby food jars work great)
  • 2 cup pyrex measure cup (for transferring liquid salve into containers or tins)






Here is a video on a simple healing Salve that can be used everyday everywhere for cuts, bruises, bug bites, dry skin, burns, and sore muscles as well as vascular veins.

I.  First you will need to make an infused oil:

Cold infused oils: ( better quality salves and longer shelf life)
Take 6 ounces of your herb or her combination (in total) and place in a quart size mason or glass jar.
Add a Good quality olive oil and stir very well.
Let sit for a min. of 4 weeks to achieve a good quality infusion. Some say 2 weeks (I go 4 weeks and try to make extra so I always have some ready to make a batch of salves
after the 4 weeks strain and press herbs back into the stained oil.

Warm infused oils: ( Quicker good for quick needs but has a shorter shelf life)
 In a  stainless steel or enamel pot add 1 1/2 cups of good quality olive oil  and bring to a very low simmer once you reach the simmer point back off the heat
Add  6 ounces of your herb or her combination (in total) .
stay on low or warm for 1 hour.
After one hour take off stove and let oil cool. Once cool stain and press



II. Making the salve liquid to pour into your containers:



  1. Add once ounce of pure beeswax and slowly melt it completely
  2. Once completely melted, add infused oil to the melted beeswax.
  3. You will notice it will solidify at this point just let it all remelt together as one liquid.
  4. Once completely a warm liquid add to pyrex measure cup and quickly pour into your containers.
  5.  While still in liquid form break and add vitamin E liquid of one capsule and then add essential oils 2-3 drops of each per container. 
  6. Let harden and use as needed

“Honey Powder Recipe”






 

You will need:
  • 1 cup cornstarch 
  • 1 tablespoon Raw liquid honey
  • Small food processor 

Directions:
First place cornstarch in small food processor.
Add honey.

Pulse 3-5 short fast times or until powdery.

Warning do not over pulse or it will become a gell like goop.

Loosen up with a fork if needed 

Sprinkle on a cookie sheet and let dry really well for about 3-5 day pace in jar.

If you would like a finer granular powder after this process and if it is hard dried and not sticky place back in food processor and pulse 2 quick fast pulses.


Tip: Before you use it or often when not using it (but not necessary give it a few shakes and or twists to loosen it up from any condensation that might of formed 

This is great for teas or  where sweeteners are needed and you do not want to worry about spillage. 



Note: The Purpose for the drying out phase is an added bonus, as you know when something dries or dehydrates it becomes a natural concentrated form of itself
