Vegetables and fruits contain few calories per serving when compared to higher calorie foods such as granola bars, chips, desserts and even whole-grain cereals. A kiwi has 42 calories, a small banana contains 90 calories, 1 1/2 cup of romaine lettuce has 12 calories and a 5 inch stalk of celery contains 3 calories. Although healthy and necessary while dieting, whole-grain shredded cereal has about 185 calories per 24 pieces. 1 ounce organically grown goldenseal powder.  If you can t find that, substitute with  chaparral or Oregon grape root.

1 ounce myrrh powder

¼ ounce cayenne powder

1 pint rubbing alcohol


  1. Start by weighing out the powders and putting them in a pint jar.
  2. Pour the rubbing alcohol over the powders, leaving a good 2 inch margin above the herbs. Stir and put a lid on the jar.  Place the mixture in a warm location and let it sit for 4 weeks.
  3. Strain and rebottle. 
  4. Label the bottle clearly FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY (rubbing alcohol should not be taken internally).

Herbal Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick

"Homemade Herbal Deodorant/Antiperspirant"

Recipe:This recipe is easy to make, inexpensive and works just as good (or better than) commercial brands and it doesn't stain your clothes! 

Ingredients: Part 1 ( Deodorant)
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil (solid state)
  • 1/4 cup baking soda (aluminum-free)
  • 1/4 cup arrowroot powder
  • Lavender or Lime essential oils 

Mix all ingredient very well. Add more coconut oil or arrowroot powder/baking soda if needed until the texture is about the same consistency as commercial deodorant. This is Part 1 (the deodorant part of the recipe)

Ingredients:Part 2 (Antiperspirant) 

  • 1/8 cup distilled water
  • 4 tbsp. dried sage
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1/3 cup witch hazel
  • 1/3 cup of pure aloe juice

Part 2 Directions:
Place 1 cup of distilled water in an enamel sauce pan and bring almost to a boil
Place sage and thyme in a glass jar and pour the hot water over it.
Let steep for about 30 minutes.
Strain in a glass jar and add witch hazel, pure aloe juice and essential oil  This is the liquid you will let cool and mix well( this is the antiperspeient part of the recipe) with part 1.

 Part 3  Mix Part 1 well and then part 2 then combine and mix very thoroughly place in a glass jar and refrigerate.

Note:  scoop out of jar with fingers and massage it under your arm pits. Before you place cloths on let deodorant set a few moments 

You can also cut a fresh lime in half and use it as a Natural citrus deodorant ( not antiperspirant)place it in a labeled plastic bag a store in refrigerator after each use...

  • 1 quart Distilled Water

Making the Detox/Calming Concoction:

  1. Bring 1 qt of distilled water to a Boil
  2. Add herbs and lower heat to a simmer( Do not let boil!!!)
  3. continue to simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

Finally, strain and press the herbs (all the potent enzymes remain within the soaked Plant parts) adding  a more concentrated effect to the concoction and becoming more potent overall for its application.  Let cool and use as needed.

Though a inflamed nerve from a bacterial or viral infection possible from a leftover cold or flu due to a poor or week immune system. A healthy immune system year round will bring less pain to one life because now all the main systems can communicate properly and efficiently to each other calling for the necessary nutrients at all necessary time.

     There are many Natural alternatives for Epilepsy. Some of them Herbal, others are Vitamins and others such as Amino Acids and even Foods that help Epilepsy. There are a few Good Books that WILL help those that have epilepsy. I know I have Epilepsy.

A short story:
When I was young I got encephalitis and fell into 2 commas. the first lasting 9 weeks and the second lasting 6 weeks. It was because of a Natural Solution that I am alive today.  during the second Coma one of my lungs collapsed and the meds were not working so the old doctor put me in a steam tent which brought my lung back enough to begin a careful healing and strengthening process. So then after many weeks in the hospital I started having Grand Mal seizures and to the point of every 9-13 weeks but if I even saw a strobe or flashing light I would have one. 

So I was on more meds than one could imagine and they did not work!!! However I found a single drug that kept me seizure free for over 35 years.( Mebaral) But as of Jan 11, 2012 and due to a new health care bill the only manufacturer Decided to stop making this Med. So what was I to do? Give Up and start having seizures again and loose all I worked for … No Way Boys and Girls this is the "HERBAL SURVIVALIST" not only talking but practicing what I preach and Teach. Yes, EVERYTHING  I Post I use and WILL back up because I care truthfully about all of you. Because I had many good people come into my life and helped me learn THE OLD WAYS that actually work. So, I offer them to you all  for free looking for nothing in return but a smile or a sense of happiness.

Many people with Epilepsy are also known to have a Vitamin B6 deficiency a good way to supplement for this is raw DOMESTIC BEE Pollen. This also is the most effective way to supplement the FULL spectrum of B vitamins. and the only true way...

   OK enough about me, because so far so good with the natural solutions and seizures. I will refer you to some books which I use regularly and are fairly inexpensive and these authors are the real McCoy and they care!  

Herbs that help seizures are called Nervine's and antispasmodics. they calm the nerves , relive stress and some actually repair the frayed nerves for better neural  communications to the brain ( in simple terms). when stress is applied to ones life it disrupts the normal nerve pattern and or the nerves become excited and there and behold a major trigger for a convulsion.  So now if a nervine is apply such as valerian or skullcap or lemon balm for example if caught in time will rebalance the nerves to once again a healthy state without the potential of toxicity occurring.  However if a secure is already happening and I do not care about the severity of the seizure if a good formulated ANTISPASMODIC formula is applied it will stop the seizure dead in its track  a Amazing formula I keep on hand is Dr John Christopher's Antispasmodic formula.
Another way to help Epilepsy is with the Amino Acid called Taurine it is said to have anticonvulsant properties. and in the book Natural healing for epilepsy there is a story of a young girl and her doctor putting her on this and the frequency of the seizures decreased and much more. ..
Another is the Rice Diet Cure. thats it a young lady in this same book is said to stop her seizures with a vey strict rice diet.

  • Valerian: Is currently one of the most popular orthodox antispasmodic medications in Russia and Germany according to Daniel Mowrey author of Herbal Tonic Therapies. It is its anticonvulsant action that has been useful in treating epilepsy.
  • Black Cohosh: It’s considered a sedative and antispasmodic and has been extensively used for epilepsy.
  • Passion Flower:  An amazing herb for Epilepsy and children with ADD!
  • Skullcap: has always been known as a mild and safe nervine. Traditionally it has been used for delirium tremens, St. Vitus’ dance, convulsions, seizures, hysterical states, lockjaw, tremors and epilepsy.
  • Skunk Cabbage: a powerful nervine that provides a calmness by calcium as well as having antispasmodic properties.
  • Cayenne: a powerful antispasmodic
  • Marshmallow root:
  • Chamomile: A nervine to calm the nerves
  • Lemon Balm will actually repair frayed nerves!
  • Lavender: another calmative  a little goes a long way. too much works in reverse.
  • Another great Combination Capsule is a Valerian Combination by Twin Labs
  • Blue Vervain is worth mentioning here after reading old American herb doctors tales of their successes with stubborn cases of epilepsy. Blue Vervain is another wonderful herb nervine use by many cultures all over the world. It is an American Indian remedy for several diseases including nervous afflictions.
A Combination of Valerian Root, Camomile,Skulcap, and Passion flower made into a tincture and strained through a thin layer of cayenne will not only stop the seizure in its track but will aid in the recovery of the patient, The Nervines' work at the Gaba and calm any neuro excitement and particularly both skunkcabage and cayenne will intervene within the overexcited neurotransmitters with another form of stimulation which confuses the overexcited neurotransmitters while the nerviness aid in calming and safe recovery and recreating a chemical balance for the Central Nervous system. Secondly, Sugar, artificial colors and flavors and caffeine are Epilepics worst enemy... They are triggers for seizures. A cup of camomile tea no milk or sweaters before bed is very healthy for those with epilepsy as well as oat straw tea and passionflower tea. Raw domestic bee pollen is super beneficial for people with neurological disorders (not just epilepsy) because is supplies the purest , non synthetic form of B complex vitamins to the Central Nervous System.

Also One who has a magnesium deficiency can be susceptible to ongoing seizure starting of as simple and progressing to Grand Mal seizures.
