The concentrates of pectin found in this herb is a soluble fiber that keeps the gastrointestinal system running regularly and helps tame blood sugar.

The Mucilage becomes gel like when mixed with a little water use it in a poultice on inflamed or bruised skin as needed. Also you can use the gel to calm and heal irritated areas around your mouth during the winter month from wind burn especially.

Dosage:(ADULT)
Roots: 1/8 to 1/3 cup of marshmallow roots daily
Tea: 1 teaspoon of dried leave or roots in 8 ounces of boiling water steeped for 15 to 20 minutes daily.
Extract: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon 3 times daily
Syrup: 1/2 to 2 teaspoons daily
Tincture: 1 to 1 tablespoon 3 times daily

Notes: Due to the high levels of mucilage and pectin present it may effect the rate of absorption of other medications. Also discoloration of urine is common 


A powerful Marshmallow root Syrup to aid soreness, sooth inflammation and has antibacterial and anti viral properties

You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons of dried marshmallow root
  • 1 teaspoon of chamomile flowers
  • 1 /2 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 2 cups of distilled water
  • 1 cup of honey

Directions: bring 2 cups of distilled water to a hard boil then add all dried herbs, Cover and bring to a low simmer, simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced to half. The cover allows any essential oils present to remain in the concoction( base liquid of syrup) let cool  and strain and press in a potato ricer add honey and use for 
Burns, Eczema, insect bites, heat rashes, sunburn skin inflammations and irritations; 
Use as needed EXTERNALLY.
For internal Use  Adults use 1 tablespoon twice daily
This is good for tonsillitis, sore throats, inflamed larynx, hemorrhoid, anal flares, upset stomach, 24 hr, bug, inflamed intestines due to food allergies.

A Powerful Burn wash:

You will need:
  • 2 tablespoons of dried marshmallow root
  • 3 tablespoons of  dried tea tree leaves
  • 3 teaspoons of lavender flowers
  • 3 teaspoons of chamomile flowers
  • 4 cups of distilled water


Directions: bring 4 cups of distilled water to a hard boil then add all dried herbs, Cover and bring to a low simmer, simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced to half. The cover allows any essential oils present to remain in the concoction

Note: For severe sunburn or sun poisoning add 1/4 cup of PURE aloe vera juice( not the juice you drink as a snack) to the concoction AFTER IT HAS BEEN STRAINED< PRESSED and COOLED and mix well refrigerate and shake well before each use.

USE AS NEEDED TO EFFECTED AREAS EXTERNALLY ONLY

Making a Energy Tonic/Tea
ENERGY/NUTRITION:
Take 2 tablespoons of nettles, 1 teaspoon of dandelion and 1/4 handful of clover flowers. Bring 12 oz. of water to a hard boil ad all herbs and bring to a low simmer until it has boiled down to half stain in a cheesecloth or cotton bandana and drink hot or cool throughout the day.

Secondly, the Base of the cattail usually white indicating a natural form of starches can be eaten raw as a form of safe natural energy.

BUG REPELLENT:


Using Wild Fern and Mint will keep bugs away simply snap a sprig or two if on a trail place shaped spit onto of each ear like a pencil or weave it in your debre hut or lean to you can also put it in your camp fire and the smoke from the oils will drive the gnats, mosquitos and spiders away.

Yes, we also cook up recipes for many other much needed things such as house cleaning and much more. Here are a few good all natural recipes to clean your house and getting it smelling clean fresh and like a new spring morning even in the middle of winter during a blizzard.
Herbal Anti septic household cleaner



There are herbs that provide anti-septic properties. These Beautiful herbs allow us to clean and semi- sterilize an environment without harmful chemicals and even have a fresh fragrance a few of these herbs we will be using will be for general house cleaning they can be used in bathrooms on counter tops tables  and much more and if placed in a fine mister on apolstry couches and chair to help kill dust mites and even bed bugs.
a few herbs are St johns wort, Rosemary,Thyme, Oregano,Cinnamon and Tea Trea

I use different formulas with essential oils as well but if you do not have the essential oils on hand you can simmer the herbs in distilled water but never bringing them to a boil. allow to simmer for 4 minutes then let cool and you know have your cleaner. I know many people that make thyme tea to clean there entire kitchen. and they are very happy with the results.

You will also save a lot of money, get a better job, and you will love the fresh smell of your work. Its sort of making fun out of cleaning.

"A Woodsman general house cleaner"
4 oz. distilled water
4 drops of pine  Essential Oil
2 drops of Thyme Essential Oil
2 drops of clove essential oil
6 drops of atlas cedar essential oil (option)
1/2 teaspoon of 80 proof vodka ( as a preservative)
place all ingredients in a fine mist spray bottle the ones used to mist plants I found to work good or an atomizer type sprayer the ones liked used for perfumes these can be purchased at most health food stores.

"Holiday Season Cleaner"
4 oz. distilled water
2 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
2 drops of Thyme Essential Oil
2 drops of tea tree essential oil
3 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil 
4 drops of clove  essential oil
1/2 teaspoon of 80 proof vodka ( as a preservative)

A Powerful BurnSalve Recipe

Burn Salve recipe

Vital elements of a good burn salve should contain the following essential oils, rose geranium,lavender,tea tree, clove and peppermint in a cold infused oil containing comfrey,echinacea  vitamin E. This recipe can be used on all severity and types of burns.

Taking your infused oil base follow directions of salve making and add the following after you pour the oils and wax into a tin. If you are using the warm infused method. Take the total volume of pressed oil and after it cools to a luke warm temperature add 25 percent more oil(jojoba oil for its vitamin E content) if it resolidified put back on a warm burner for a very short time on low low heat and let if liquify and pour into tins quickly and stir with toothpick . 
While still warm and in 2 oz. tins add:

  • 6 drops lavender essential oil
  • 4 drops of rose geranium essential oil
  • 8 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • 4 drops of clove essential oil
  • 3 drops of peppermint essential oil

Cold ,Flu and daily health Syrup


This syrup can be taken daily as a general health Tonic. It's high level of vitamin C and flavanoids will keep your immune system maintained all year. it also has vitamins B6,B12 and more to help support the central Nervous system.

1. Yield 16 oz. aprox.
First take 2 cups of distilled water and bring it to a hard boil
Add 1/2 cup of dried elderberries
Add 1/3 cup of dried rose hips
Add 1 cinnamon stick
Add 8 cloves
Add 1 tablespoon of fresh ground Ginger root
Add 1/2 teaspoon of thyme
Lower to a low low  simmer and add cover let simmer for 30 minutes or until reduced by one half.

2. Let cool
3. Add 1 cup of raw wildflower honey mix well and bottle in dark bottles.

Dosage: 
ADULTS, When sick take 1 tablespoon per hour. for General Health Tonic take 1 tablespoon daily.

this recipe will bring the fresh outdoors inside and clean for you. The freshness of the herbs and the Sage and Lemongrass will bring much cleanliness in your home and in some cases make your toes wiggle.

4 oz. distilled water
2 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
2 drops of Thyme Essential Oil
2 drops of Sage Essential Oil
3 drops of Lemongrass Essential Oil 


Now if you go the tea method use 2 tablespoons of dried herb to 1 pint of distilled water and mix the recipe of your choice and always use 1 to 1 ratio in blending the teas. Shake well before each use.

“Raw Honey Cinnamon Bread”
Not only can one turn a simple bread recipe into something that is uplifting and tastes really great.Here is a simple recipe from y grandmother that help us stay healthy. Good ingredients are the key to good health and a great tasting, belly filling recipe So here we go.
This is a good bread recipes that not only fills the belly but helps us stay healthy. its bold country taste also will help us take our minds off of things especially during rough times.  . But above all the best remedy for “ANY “ situation no matter how severe or minute is “TRUST in God”



You will need:


  • 1/4 tspn. Cinnamon; a natural antiseptic
  • 1 tspn. of dried thyme
  • 1/2 tspn. Salt
  • 1//2 tspn. Black Pepper
  • 1/8 cup . Raw wildflower honey; loaded with B complex vitamins and also classified as a derivative of a Superfood “Bee Pollen”
  • 21/2 cups of flour; either a fresh ground hard white grain or a spring hard red is good  or you can use all purpose flour if no grain is available.
  • 2 packages of yeast.
  • 4 cups of milk


Directions:  
1. Bring milk to a low simmer while always stirring and add in honey while always keeping a low warm temperature on the milk. 
2. Take off heat .
3. Add all dry ingredients, flour, yeast,salt,black pepper, cinnamon and mix well with a whisk to incorporate all dry ingredients.
4. Make a well in the center of the flour add milk a little at a time while always incorporating a bit more flour into the well until all milk is used tighten up the does with a bit more flour if needed. 
5. kneed well in a stand mixer with a dough hook for 10-15 minutes. or by hand. this is very important so we get a first good rise.
let sit for 2 -3 hrs or until double in size then form your loaf and let rise again for an hr. 
6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake on bottom shelf for 25-30  minutes or until golden brown.
 7. Check with a cake tester to make sure bread is baked through if it comes out wet its not do put it back in oven for 5 minutes each time until cake tester comes out dry.
You will enjoy this recipe especially on a cold or hot day the aroma from the cinnamon and honey is very uplifting and tastes great.

  • 1 tblspn.Coconut Oil This will help bring a nice froth if making a Late version.
  • 1 tblspn. Raw wildflower honey loaded with B complex vitamins and also classified as a derivative of a Superfood “Bee Pollen”
  • 2 cups Organic milk ( Cream line if possible)


Directions:  
1. Bring milk to a simmer while always stirring throughout entire recipe. 
2. Add all ingredients except half of the honey and lower heat  to a very low simmer while letting it never come near a boil. and always stirring.
3. Strain everything into a large mug and press herbs in stainer with a large tablespoon.
4. Add the other half of the honey sir well and enjoy.
