The Power of Oregano and Oregano Essential Oil:

Target: All Main Systems
Survival: Medicine

Oregano is a powerful herb producing vital enzymes( high levels of concentrates of  thymol and carvacrol) that defeat infections (both bacterial and viral). They also help strengthen and maintain a healthy immune system and respiratory system. This herb is also classified as an antibiotic herb.

Oregano has a high O.R.A.C, level of 15,300 per 100 grams
Thyme has an O.RA.C. level of near 15,380 per 100 grams
O.R.A.C. is the scale used to measure the amount or degree of antioxidants present per measurement.
Both Thyme and Oregano have similar effects medicinally on the respiratory system. and when mad as a tea and cooled can be used as a mouth rinse for mouth and canker sores.

Secondly, Oregano is powerful as a tea or connection or tincture as well for bacteria and viral infections but does not possess the high levels of concentrates as

Herbs for Congestion

Herbs For  Congestion:

Target: Respiratory System
Category: Medicine

Excessive Mucus/phlegm  cause excessive stress on the respiratory system as well as the Central Nervous System.  Excessive mucus build up excretes through an airway passage/opening(s) causing irritation to both nasal and bronchial passageways . Excessive amounts of phlegm or mucus can trigger a bronchial spasm which in tern causes more irritation. The first thing we have to do is determine what is the cause of the Congestion (cold, Flu, Allergies etc) ?

If congestion is caused by allergens then histamines may of been released by pollen or a food or dairy enzyme.  if this is the case we need a herb with anti-histamine properties, and for this particular scenario Licorice Root would be the Herb of Choice taken as a tea. But this herb can effect blood pressure levels if you have a blood pressure problem do not use this herb.

If Congestion is caused by excessive coughing  then their may be a bronchial spasm present, In this case we need a herb with antispasmodic properties; Cayenne tincture is a wonder of an antispasmodic but just 1/4 to 1/2 of a drop of tincture on the tongue or 1 drop of tincture  in 6 ounces of warm water.

Expectorants:
These are herbs that will expell mucus and or phlegm and these herbs must to be used carefully such as anise seed is a powerful expectorant and if taken before you go to bed you will be up all night bringing up mucus and or phlegm  The best way to take this is in a tea form as the heat will aid in breaking up the large amounts of phlegm into smaller quantities to be expelled. When broken up in smaller amounts there is an unlikely hood of a bronchial spasm to become present.

A few Good Expectorant Herbs are but not limited to:

  • Anise
  • Peppermint
  • horehound
  • mullein
  • wild cherry
  • licorice
  • elecampane

Demuculant: These are herbs that aid the mucus membrane with a soothing effect by softening the mucus membrane. As they soften the mucus membrane it begging the healing process.

A few Good Demuculant herbs:

  • Licorice:
  • Slippery Elm Bark
  • Marshmallow Root
  • Mullein
  • Irish Moss
  • Comfrey
  • Cornsilk
  • Flaxseed

A Powerful Lung Tonic:

  • 1/2 ounce Comfrey root
  • 1/2 ounce Horehound
  • 1/2 ounce Elecampane root
  • 1/2 ounce Ground Ivy
  • 1/2 ounce of Ginger Root
  • 1/2 ounce Cayenne
  • 1 1/2 lbs of raw wildflower honey

Directions:
simmer the first four herbs in 3 pints of water for 25 minutes strain over the ground ivy and cayenne  add the honey while hot. allow to cool and bottle.

Dosage: “Adults” 1-2 tablespoons every 2 hours.

Recipe #2
Another Powerful Healing Tonic:

  • 1 ounce of Horehound
  • 1 ounce of Mullein
  • 2 ounces of Licorice Root
  • 1/2 ounce ground ivy

Directions
bring 16 ounces of water to a hard boil
add all herbs lower heat to a low simmer
simmer for 15 minutes
let cool and bottle

  • 1 ounce marshmallow root
  • 1 ounce wild cherry bark
  • 1 pint raw wildflower honey
  • 1 1/2 pints of distilled water

Bring distilled water to a boil  add honey lower to a low simmer for 20 minutes Remove any scum
Add herbs  keep on a low simmer for 20 additional minutes
Remove from heat and let cool strain and bottle and keep in a cool place

Preparing for a seasonal Change "Cold, Flu & Hay fever"

Preparing your immune system for a season change.
"Cold, Flu & Hay fever"

The Immune System -- An Overview:

The immune system is composed of many interdependent cell types that collectively protect the body from bacterial, parasitic, fungal, viral infections and from the growth of tumor cells. Many of these cell types have specialized functions. The cells of the immune system can engulf bacteria, kill parasites or tumor cells, or kill viral-infected cells. Often, these cells depend on the T helper subset for activation signals in the form of secretions formally known as cytokines, lymphokines, or more specifically interleukins. The purpose of this article is to review the organs, cell types and interactions between cells of the immune system as a commentary on their importance and interdependence on the T helper subset. Such an understanding may help comprehend the root of immune deficiencies, and perceive potential avenues that the immune system can be modulated in the case of specific diseases.

Cold and Flu (influenza) dwells within the  body in the form of bacterias' and during a season change it becomes a shock thus, lowering the threshold of the immune system.
So What do we do?

Maintain healthy main systems; Respiratory, Circulatory, Central Nervous System) This can also be achieved by maintaining a healthy immune system. some herbal supplements are great for this: Echinacea, Echinacea & Goldenseal combination Elderberry, Garlic, Ginger,Astragalus Root, Slippery Elm Bark.

Slippery Elm Bark??? Why this you may say... Slippery Elm Bark will provide nutrition to vital organs and tissue to all the Main Systems as well as the rest of the Bodys Organs.

Garlic at a dosage of 2000 mg. daily per Adult will help as well, This antiviral herb will aid in depressing & eliminating most bacteria's like Echinacea.

Bee Pollen:  be pollen is the only truest way for someone to get a full spectrum of "B" vitamins. without any synthetic compounding from within its own molecular spectrum. In Simple terms this mean the B array is true and both independent and collective in the molecular structuring of the B pollen. there is no derivative that creates a "synthetic" to create anew array of B vitamin. If so as the Molecular structure synthesizes it looses its structuring of it origination therefore the B1 is of a new and independent compound and molecular structure which also works collectively. So it can create a NEW SPectrum(thus a new array) Molecular structure.

Overall this Targets the Central Nervous System thus specifically The GABA receptors thus enhancing the immune system. In addition ( because the Gaba receptor attain a Healthy functionality from the B vitamin spectrum targeting B6, B12, niacin, a nature for of Heathy energy becomes relevant.

Hay fever Hay fever symptoms are similar to the symptoms of Anaphylactic shock shock, This is because histamines are released into the blood and what occurs is vascular dilation. now that the vascular system is dilated there is more of a demand for blood circulation to maintain the volume of blood needed to maintain a normal blood pressure. Initially, there is not so the effects are a deficiency to the main systems as well as the muscular skeletal system.

When this effect the Central nervous system it weakens the immune system and distresses the neurotransmitter ACH which affects the Respiratory system. This is why you get a runny nose or congested,
Furthermore, When histamines are initially released the anaphylactic shock like symptoms can also cause the airways( both nasal and bronchial) to retract this is known as Asthmatic Hay fever.
So what do we do
1. First we need to stop the histamines from entering the bloodstream ( this is done with a anti-histamine herb) Echinacea, Licorice, Cayenne
2. Secondly, We then need to strengthen the immune system from the distress’ it has or is going through(as mentioned above) this can be do with Echinacea, Astragalus, Apple Cider Vinegar, or Fresh Horse Radish.
And during the effects of the spasms from the asthma like effect “Asthmatic Hay fever” we need Cayenne Tincture this will seize the spasm instantly. A good Overall Recover Herb Formula consists of Licorice Root, Astragalus, and Marshmallow Roots Tea.
